Our Client, a global insurance company, are recruiting a Business Analyst to join their team.  Previous experience working in the Insurance Market is essential - preferably commercial insurance / London Market with exposure to Policy and Claims Admin Solutions.

The Business Analyst will take ownership for the delivery of a portfolio of changes and projects for an area of the business and IT services and be a single point of contact for these services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective relationships with business stakeholders, 3rd party service providers and internal service delivery staff to ensure the optimum solution is proposed
  • Analyse the feasibility of project and change requests and work with the business community to gain approval of deliverables produced and any recommendations made
  • Where required prepare structured delivery plans for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation.
  • Produce systems or procedural design documentation, outlining the proposed solution
  • Develop test strategies and test plans to ensure solution meets the needs of the business and is aligned with defined requirements. Develops test scripts to validate the integrity of system functions & conditions. Provide support to the business in executing UAT plans
  • Develop implementation / release plans ensuring back-out and QA steps are clearly defined

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working in the Insurance Market - preferably commercial insurance / London Market is essential
  • Exposure to Policy and Claims Admin solutions is highly desirable
  • Systems Analysis
  • SQL
  • Previous experience working on insurance applications
  • CRM (preferably MS Dynamics)
  • Good exposure to and knowledge of the full IT project lifecycle: project initiation through to implementation
